"Whence Knowest Thou Me? (...) I Saw Thee"

"Nathaniel said unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee."

John 1: 48
American Standard Version

It takes wisdom to know what you see. It takes experience to see.
What you see is either reality or your reality. Come to that, does reality exist at all? Or is it just a figment of our imagination? Our neverending human desire to make life seem secure and predictable?

The things we know and this thing we call reality is always changing.
What you make of it is up to you. What you make of it is your decision. And this decision will give you that inner peace and wisdom to see and to know.

"I Thank My God Always"

"I thank my God always, making mention of thee in my prayers,"

Philemon 1: 4
American Standard Version

Praying and thanksgiving day by day gives serenity and calm even when times our tough. Especially when times are tough. When everything goes fine, it is easy to give thanks, be calm and happy. Anyone can do that. Tough times on the other hand test us.

As anyone who works for himself/herself, as any businessperson knows, sometimes things can get nasty, really nasty. It's part of business. When you go through the rough and tumble of hard times it is easy to get caught up in negativity. So that is why it is important, both in good and bad times to thank the Lord and say our prayers. To fill our heart and soul with dreams, joy and hope. To fill our mind with positive thoughts, dreams. To fill our spirit with energy to build our world.

"We Hope for That Which We See Not, Then Do We with Patience Wait for It"

"But if we hope for that which we see not, then do we with patience wait for it."

Romans 8:25
American Standard Version

Hope is the fuel of our dreams. First we dream it, whatever we deem to be worthwhile and then we do it. And in the middle, there stands hope. Hope is illusional but used rightly it leads us to places we have never been to. And with hope comes patience.

Patience is a virtue few of us value. You can be impatient with little things, with mundane, time-consuming activities because you know that real patience takes character. Patience to wait for the results you've envisioned. Successful businesspeople, even successful politicians know it.
They can wait even decades for events to unfold.

And then we wait patiently for our new world, the world that was first a dream, then a hope and then reality.

When we want to achieve something, we have passion. We have dedication. This dedication is powered by our hope. The hope to get where we want to be.

"Goodness Should Not Be as of Necessity, but of Free Will"

"but without thy mind I would do nothing; that thy goodness should not be as of necessity, but of free will."

Philemon 1:14
American Standard Version

Anything that comes out of sheer necessity and not of free will, sooner or later does more harm than good and then perishes.
Free will gives us who we are. Free will gives us goodness. Free will can create the life, the world we desired. Free will gives us strength and the willpower to do good things in our life. Free will is the essence of God.

God is with us. God shows his goodness in countless ways. One of this is our soul. When we listen to our soul and then act upon what we feel inside, our world changes and so do we. Goodness comes into our life and stays in it.

"I Trust in the Lord"

"(...)I trust in the Lord (...)"

Philippians 2: 24
American Standard Version

Trust in ourselves and trust in the Lord.
When we do something and when we get on with our daily lives, it is paramount we believe in something greater than ourselves. When we trust in the Lord we know that he is by our side.
We feel the universe and the forces in it. The universe is in us.
We do our work, we do what we are here on this earth for and when we have done everything in our power and while we are doing everything we can to fulfill our destiny, we trust in God.
We trust in the Lord.

When we trust in the Lord, when we feel that universal power, inner peace is the reward. And inner peace is the most important element to reach your goals and to become who you are meant to become.

Doing everything you can and trusting in the Lord paves the way for changing your world.

"The Son of Man Is Lord of The Sabbath"

"The Son of man is lord of the sabbath."

Luke 6:5
American Standard Version

There are days for celebrating and there are days for working.
There are days for weeping and there are days for smiling.

There are days for thinking and there are days for learning.
There are days for moving and there are days for resting.
There are days for reading and there are days for writing.
There are days for eating and there are days for fasting.
There are days for words and there are days for silence.

The important thing is to know which one you have chosen for that day.

"For Therefore Was I Sent"

"And when it was day, he came out and went into a desert place: and the multitudes sought after him, and came unto him, and would have stayed him, that he should not go from them. But he said unto them, I must preach the good tidings of the kingdom of God to the other cities also: for therefore was I sent."

Luke 4:42, 43

American Standard Version

Not only in this day and age but, according to the Bible, since the dawn of time, distractions are present in human life.

Distractions can take many forms and shapes.
Other people who are hellbent on diverting our attention and energy just to push their agenda and interest.
Food (Hi, I'm Stella and I'm a chocaholic) that we indulge in and soon some excess fatty here and there crops up on our body.
Entertainment that we enjoy but eventually these events keep us from really getting to know ourselves and concentrating on our goals.
Debts that we pile up because of our desire to show off bigger cars and homes and travels that we can afford.

You name it, you can continue the list as long as you wish.

The true blessing is in the laser focus you have when you know what you are on this earth for.
There are some of us who truly know what they are here for at an early age.

The world is changing. We live longer and we stay healthy longer.
It means that there are more and more of us who start to bloom, live our life to the fullest, focus on our true calling well over our forties.

This is the first time in the history of humankind when this happens to crowds of people.
It is still a relatively rare phenomenon but it is growing as a social trend and it is here and here to stay.
In the past there was Ray Kroc, founder of McDonald's who started his true career at the age of 52. Before that he was a 'simple' salesman. Or Colonel Sanders who founded KFC when he was 62.
These were rare instances. Not any more.

Today it is becoming more and more of a societal change. A demographic trend.

It doesn't matter when we realize what our true calling is. As Steve Jobs said in the best motivational speech ever, in his Stanford commencement speech: "If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it."
The important thing is that when you have found it, focus on it.

That focus will give you strength to fulfill your destiny.

"No Word from God Shall Be Void of Power"

"For no word from God shall be void of power."

Luke 1:37
American Standard Version

What will your future be? What kind of person and who will you become?
What does the future hold for you?

All words that come from the heart, come from God.
Words. Words that come from the heart and as such, come from God, shape you and your future.
Even if the truth hurts, when it comes from the heart, when it comes from your reality, when you speak your mind, you get close to God. And that is what counts.

When we are close to God, when words come from our heart, those words have a special significance, a particular meaning.
Use those words wisely for they will lead you to the world where you long to be.

"For Ye Are All Sons of God, Through Faith"

"But now that faith is come, we are no longer under a tutor.  For ye are all sons of God, through faith, in Christ Jesus."

Galatians 3: 25,26
American Standard Version

Faith is everything. When you have faith, you have everything.
Faith in the power of God. Faith in your power. You do not need anybody to have faith. You do not need anybody to feel God's presence.
Faith can be seen everywhere in our daily lives.
Just think of the miracles of nature. The soothing rays of the sun. The air. The wind.

Faith is in your actions. When you do something, you believe that it is worth your time and your efforts. That is faith.

How can you practice faith? Can it be practiced?
One practical thing you can do before you start something. Say it to yourself: "I believe in what I am about to do, I believe I can do it, God is with me."

When you act with faith, it can be felt. When you believe in what you do.
Faith is divine and it is there in all of us.

"Blessed Be The God"

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort them that are in any affliction, through the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God."

2 Corinthians 1: 3,4
American Standard Version

When we are in trouble or we are sad, we kind of forget that there is a world around us.
Or the other end of the spectrum when we are in deep sorrow and we do not show it. We hide away our tears and do not mourn our loss. When we suffer a loss then we immediately swicth to another activity, immerse ourselves in our work. We do not dedicate not even a day to properly shed our tears and express our sorrow. And this comes back to haunt us years and years later. Been there, done that.

Now, even if you express your sorrow and let your emotions shine through when you go through some tough times, it's always good to cheer up other people.

Especially in tough times.

Happiness and joy do not come naturally when you are in the depths of sorrow.
Even in those times, a smile, an encouraging word or two to someone you are close to or to a complete stranger -- this will help alleviate your pain, too!
And the following day is going to come quicker. And little by little your world is going to change.

"On that day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side."

Matthew 13:1
American Standard Version

Water has a calming effect on the nerves. When you sit by the seaside, by a river or by a lake, peace and serenity fill your heart.
When you want to do something meaningful that requires a lot of energy. When you want to boost your inner power, there is nothing more fruitful than taking a moment to sit and relax. Before the bif leap. Even Jesus needed moments of silence.

So go ahead, sit down some place that fills your heart and soul with joy and meditate. Or do nothing. Think of nothing. Empty your head.

And after that, when you are done with that go and conquer the world. Or change the world. Or yourself, whatever you choose. The basic rhythm of life, serenity, energy, serenity, energy.
Both of them are needed if you want to do something meaningful. Something that means a lot to you, something that you think is worth your efforts. Go ahead and do it.

"Whatsoever Things God Prepared for Them That Love Him"

"but as it is written,
[j]Things which eye saw not, and ear heard not,
And which entered not into the heart of man,
Whatsoever things God prepared for them that love him."

I Corinthians 2:9
American Standard Version

The message that is invisible to the naked eye, imperceptible to the human ear, the message that the intuitive faculty perceives. It happens to all of us. Sometimes we listen to it, sometimes not.

You can pretty much recollect times when you listened to it and it benefited you.
Sometimes you feel it as if you were struck by lightning. Sometimes it is nothing but a mere whisper.
Intuition is the eyes and ears of the soul.

"So Because Thou Art Lukewarm (...)I Will Spew Thee out of My Mouth."

"So because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spew thee out of my mouth."

Revelation 3:16
American Standard Version

Lukewarm is the safest course of action. The greyness of nothingness. Actually not nothingness because nothing is meant to be something.
No. Lukewarm is the greyness of anythingness. You do not know what it is. You do not know what it stands for. You do not know where it is from and where it is headed. You do not know what it wants. It's lukewarm. It does not take a stand. It changes, as the wind changes, has no personality and fights for nothing.

Lukewarm is the average. Lukewarm is the enemy of progress.

It is more exciting to choose either hot or cold. You know where you stand with hot and where you stand with cold. Hot is hot, cold is cold. These are statements.

In our life this is one of the biggest challenges: to make a statement. To stand up for something. To stand for something. But then again, life is meant to be exciting. With statements, life waxes exciting. Thrilling. Hot and cold. Hot or cold.
Hippy or billionaire. Hippy and billionaire. Young or old. Young and old.

Extremes are exciting. Pump up your life with extremes. You never know where and when miracles surprise you.

"It Came to Me Through Revelation of Jesus Christ."

"For I make known to you, brethren, as touching the gospel which was preached by me, that it is not after man. 12 For neither did I receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came to me through revelation of Jesus Christ."

Galatians 1:11, 12

American Standard Version

Ideas come out of nowhere. Seemingly. You cannot force them, you cannot order them to appear.
They just come to this world through you when the time is right.

As one of the greatest statesmen ever, Sir Winston Churchill said:
"Let us go forward as with other matters and other measures similar in aim and effect - let us go forward in malice to none and good will to all. Such plans offer far better prizes than taking away other people's provinces or lands or grinding them down in exploitation. The empires of the future are the empires of the mind..."

Churchill predicted this when the Internet was not even an idea. Boy, was that man a genius!

In our time ideas are everything. They have always been the center for invention and progress but never as much as today.

Ideas make our world go round. Ideas are the fuel.

When you have an idea it seems to come out of nowhere. In reality, it is the sum total of your experience, your previous thoughts, your dedication. And your faith. The power of faith is greater than we give it credit for. Ideas are God's way of talking with us of being with us.

"Man Shall Not Live by Bread Alone"

"And Jesus answered unto him, It is written: Man shall not live by bread alone."

Luke 4:4

Bread, food, our livelihood -- these are essential to survival, the survival of our phyisical bodies.
We have our body. And we have our soul.

It is in our best interest to feed our soul good stuff. When we feed our souls, when we take care of the well-being of the human soul, we become what we truly are. And that is when we are capable of being useful and good to our immediate environment as well.

Good books, good movies, good experiences, good people, good friends, good walks, good things that we enjoy to do, be it our work or our hobbies.

These elevate us by giving us what we need besides food and shelter. The reason to live, to wake up in the morning, to be our best self, to go ahead and fulfill that which we came to this world to fulfill.

Surround yourself with good stuff, stuff that you feel is good for you.

"I Was Found of Them That Sought Me Not"

"I was found of them that sought me not;
I became manifest unto them that asked not of me."

Romans 10:20
American Standard Version

Searching for something is considered to be an action. Active. Sometimes aggressive. Searching for something everywhere. Relentlessly.

Sometimes the solution to a problem manifests itself when we least expect it.

There was an Italian economist, Pareto. His whole name is Vilfredo Federico Damaso Pareto. And he was not only an economist, but also an engineer, sociologist, political scientist, and philosopher.
He lived in a time when science was approached holistically. And maybe all these professions added to the discovery of the principle that made him famous and this principle is mostly used in economics.

His principle, the Pareto principle, in other words, the 80/20 rule states that 20 % of your actions produce 80 % of your results. As the old saying goes, when you start a project it would be nice to know beforehand which 20 % will yield the 80 %.

Oftentimes we search and search and search for something. To no avail.
And then, out of the blue, we find what we were looking for. In a place where we didn't expect to find it. On a day when we didn't expect to find it.

Our life is in God's hands. Anything can happen. Anytime. Give chance a chance.
